MotoSocial: Cool bikes, cool people

Travel Info > Motorcycling in NZ > “MotoSocial: Cool bikes, cool people”

As a motorcycle enthusiast and engineer I’ve always been drawn to quirky bikes and the people that keep them going. So when I heard about The Moto Social, a global community that brings riders together, I knew I had to experience it firsthand to see what interesting motorbikes were around Christchurch.

Bikes, Brews, and Banter

The atmosphere was laid-back and inviting. We stood around our bikes and went around inspecting everyone else’s ride. Here’s what I loved about The Moto Social:

  1. Variety: It didn’t matter if you liked vintage café racers, sportbikes, or a custom CT110s, there was something for everyone.

  2. Shared Passion: Everyone there loved their bikes and was always keen to swap stories about what they’d been doing

Why You Should Attend

  • New Friends: Whether you’re a solo rider or part of a crew, you’ll find your people at The Moto Social.

  • Inspiration: Hearing others’ riding adventures fuels your own riding aspirations.

  • Good Vibes: It’s not just about bikes; it’s about building connections and creating a positive community.

I loved showing off the Suzuki Goose that I’ve recently finished restoring.

The great thing about the MotoSocial is that you don’t need an exclusive invite to attend, nor do you even need to arrive on a motorbike (but if you do want to arrive on a bike, you can rent one from us). If you’re new to NZ, or even just visiting, I highly recommend that you come along and have a look at a side of bike culture within NZ.

Come say “Hi” to me if you see the Blue Goose fly in at the next MotoSocial next summer!
